Much of this singer/songwriter's work is inescapable, in that if you were alive at the time and your ears worked you heard her music everywhere. Besides her own #1 hit Personally, Karla penned six songs for Linda Ronstadt including Someone to Lay Down Beside Me and the GRAMMY AWARD winning All of My Life...and she broke through to country fans by writing Wynonna Judd's electrifying crossover smash Tell Me Why.

"Long before Alanis and Jewel there was a breed of singer/songwriters whose earthly anthems of soul searching, heartache and joy touched souls in a way few can muster today. Karla stands as a testament to the ideal that the good ones are indeed ageless."
– Billboard Magazine

"Karla Bonoff took the Swallow Hill stage by storm again on Saturday, packing the intimate venue. Her set list led concertgoers down memory lane as she sang her songs rendered huge hits by others... but true Bonoff fans turn out to hear the songwriter's singular voice, still as velvety as the black skirt she wore. She continues to carry all her notes. With integrity and clarity and admirable modulation she belts out her lyrics, and she hits artistic grace notes whether on piano or guitar." – Denver Post

DIRECTOR'S NOTE

I had the great pleasure of presenting Ms. Bonoff in concert in Florida a couple of years ago and must tell you that it was possibly THE highlight of our season, both in theatre staff's opinion and that of our audience. With all due respect to the many artists who have recorded her songs... not a single one of them can compare to hearing Ms. Bonoff so beautifully and movingly bring them to life onstage. To hear her sing Someone to Lay Down Beside Me... to a rapt audience... in a very small theatre... I promise you, it'll be an experience you'll not soon forget, and you'll understand why some fans drove hundreds of miles to join us.

You'll be hard pressed to find a more romantic and fun way to spend Valentine's Night!
